Beautiful Grenada – Short Film

Synopsis

The Caribbean island of Grenada is a special place to Romaine and his family and is the home to his wife’s family through generations. Romaine wanted to capture the essence and beauty of the island, as a travel short film.

Unlike many travel films and tourist videos, Romaine wanted to focus on the heart and soul of the island and what makes Grenada so great, which is the people, their rich history, love and traditions. The goal was to present an unspoken and unscripted narrative of Romaine and his family revisiting the island, set on the backdrop of Grenada’s beautiful and captivating nature. Romaine specifically chose a soundtrack that was a juxtaposition of what you would expect to find on stereotypical visuals of the Caribbean. This was designed to make the viewer appreciate Grenada’s beautiful and poetic visuals and to provide a new perspective on this amazing country.
