Black Lives Matter – London Protest

Synopsis

This film was captured ‘run and gun’ style during the 2020 Black Lives Matter, London Protests. This film was created to share the raw emotions, solidarity and the historic nature of this event.

Romaine’s specific choices of framing, was to create an immersive and arresting experience for the viewer. The choice of the  soundtrack ‘Mortal Man’ by Terrace Martin was an intentional addition, not only for its commanding tones, but also due to its connotations, of the term ‘Mortal Man’ given the unfortunate and disproportionately reduced mortality rate of black men like George Floyd.
